The curriculum covers all essential areas—techniques, anatomy, yoga philosophy, and professional essentials—and is thoughtfully structured to meet and exceed expectations. Through careful assessments and supportive guidance, we ensure trainees are fully prepared before certification.

General Background in the Specialty Area – 12 Hours
Explore child development stages (ages 2-15) and their impact on yoga
Dive into the specifics of different age groups: preschool (2-4), elementary (5-8), and middle school (9-15)
Develop skills for effective communication with parents, guardians, and specialists
Techniques, Training, and Practice – 20 Hours
Explore child development stages in relation to yoga
Teach age-appropriate practices (asanas, movement, games, breathing, chanting, relaxation) for ages 2-15
Teaching Methodology – 15 Hours
Use classroom management and age-appropriate lesson planning
Develop group engagement skills
Communicate effectively with storytelling, songs, and interactive methods
Anatomy and Physiology – 10 Hours
Cover child-specific anatomy and physiology
Introduce energy anatomy (chakras, nadis) for children
Understand benefits, contraindications, and healthy movement for kids
Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle, and Ethics for Yoga Teachers – 12 Hours
Introducing the Yamas and Niyamas as they relate to children.
Ethical behavior, language, and state/local legal requirements for working with children.
Parameters for ethical touch and interaction when teaching yoga to children.
Practicum – 18 Hours
Observing Classes: 6 hours (4 hours must be with lead trainers)
Teaching Classes: 12 hours (6 hours with lead trainers; 4 hours as lead teacher)
Remaining Contact Hours and Elective Hours – 8 Hours
Distribution: According to your chosen emphasis. These can be contact or non-contact hours, including additional practice, specialized workshops, or assignments.

INVESTMENT:
Paid In Full: One-time payment of $2,750
Payment Plan: 6 monthly payments of $550
Turn Around Time: 2 weeks from the date of contract.
Additional Fees: Yoga Alliance fees are NOT INCLUDED in the above stated fees. Currently, YA is charing $400 for the initial application and then an additional $240 once approved.
